Five or so year old Gifford was found running loose in Ashford, near the Dairy Bar. We decided to name him after one of our favorite ice cream brands: Gifford’s! His health has been severely neglected, and his ears will likely need surgical intervention that ultimately will leave him deaf. His hearing is already compromised, so we have been teaching him some sign language to help us communicate with him while he has some hearing. His skin is much improved since being impounded. He’s a joy to be around and loves people. He is affectionately called “Baby Cow” by many of the staff.
